This specialized surface treatment greatly improves the smoothness and evenness of dent surfaces to hitherto unrealizable levels. The intensity of yarn contact levels is lightened significantly resulting in lower incidence of yarn damage.

Longer Reed Life　

The benefits are not limited only to reduced yarn damage. Due to the smoother surface, abrasion is also greatly reduced resulting in longer reed life. In the case of filament weaving, cases of doubled reed life have been achieved.
